In matters of the heart it is imperative that any damage done be repaired. In this instance we are talking about the physical aspect of the heart and the conditions or damage that may require a person receiving a new heart. For instance, there are congenital defects that are so severe a new heart is required. There is a condition called cardiomegaly, which in layman’s terms is an enlarged heart. This can be secondary to a condition called CHF: Congestive Heart Failure, which in and of itself often leads to a patient requiring a heart transplant.
